American roots traditionalist Tara Nevins, frontwoman for Donna The Buffalo as well as her own solo projects, made a stop on her solo tour at Smith’s Olde Bar in downtown Atlanta, GA., where she performed songs from her new album, Wood and Stone. Nevins packed the house with fans of hers, as well as DATB, and brought alone a seven-piece band to back her up including Mike Compton on Mandolin, drummer Mark Raudabaugh, Riley Baugus on Banjo, bassist Todd Phillips and Amber Dawn Rische on harmony vocals and 2nd fiddle. Before the show, Tara talked to Dan Harr on the bus about her new album, her choice of roots music and more.
