43rd Annual GMA Dove Awards Nominations Press Conference

The nominations for the 43rd Annual Gospel Music Dove Awards were announced at a press conference in downtown Atlanta. Announcing the nominations were Gospel music artists Montell Jordan and Jaime-Grace, World Heavyweight Wrestling Champion AJ Styles and Comedian Chonda Pierce. Emilie Autumn and The Bloody Crumpets in Atlanta

Emilie Autumn brought her Bloody Crumpets and their Burlesque-influenced theatrical show to The Loft in downtown Atlanta where they performed for a SRO crowd of costumed-dressed fans. With frequent costume changes, masks and makeup, Autumn's show is like a cross between DragonCon, The Rocky Horror Picture Show and an erotic New Orleans Mardi Gras masquerade ball. Country legend Willie Nelson, along with rising alt/rock star Sonia Leigh, performed for a sold out crowd at The Tabernacle in downtown Atlanta. Nelson performed his mega-hits for the SRO crowd, many of whom were enjoying Willie's brand of "first aid." Sonia Leigh, a fast-rising star on Zac Brown's Southern Ground label, sang her well-known songs for her strong Atlanta fan base and wowed the crowd with her edgy vocals and hot guitar licks.
