Hayden Panettiere will be starring as the up-and-coming country singer Juliette Barnes on the ABC television series Nashville. The new drama is currently filming throughout the city of Nashville, so Hayden has had plenty of time to explore. The 23 year-old actress has spent much of her career filming in New York and Los Angeles, but Nashville was a very new environment for her. “I think everything is surprising about this city. Everything’s different to me.” Hayden is particularly impressed by Nashville’s visual diversity. “You can go drive…and you’re in the middle of the woods and beautiful properties and big houses…then the other way, you’re going into the city and fun and music.”
For your own sightseeing journey of Music City, be sure to tune in to the premiere of Nashville, airing Wednesday, October 10th at 10/9c on ABC. You can watch the pilot now on ABC.com. Music performed in the first episode is now available for download at the ABC.com Music Lounge.
“I think everything is surprising about this city. Everything’s different to me. It’s the epitome of southern hospitality and it’s that little big town. It’s that perfect combination of city and suburbs and you can go drive ten minutes, five minutes, and you’re in the middle of the woods and beautiful properties and big houses and then the other way you’re going into city and fun and music and I love the fact that I can just walk out my door, and you go find somewhere, and there’s music playing and it feels like an atmosphere and a culture, and it’s very American, it really is.”
