For the last several years, Dan has
been publishing
Music News Nashville and taking photos of concerts, events,
models and more, supporting upcoming artists and songwriters in
Nashville and beyond.
Dan was diagnosed with rectal cancer.
He's been staged at "Stage 3", which isn't so good.
However, the location of the cancer is such that the doctors are
optimistic about curing it. Still, as things progress, you
may notice some lag time in updates to MNN due to Dan being a
little physically under the weather. But, as he's been
telling people, when it all comes out in the end, he'll be
stronger for it. (Get it? Rectal cancer... all comes
out in the end... c'mon, we thought it was a funny pun.
Speaking of funny...

UPDATE
(February 5) - On February 2nd at The Limelight in Nashville, a
benefit was held to help Dan raise funds to cover lost
income and expenses. It was a fantastic night of music
and fun with Charlie Louvin, Danielle Peck, Jeff Bates, Keni
Thomas, Amber Hayes, Gary Talley, Deanna Bryant, Chas
Sandford, Gordon
Kennedy, Tim Nichols, Thom Shepherd, Winfield's Locket, Hip
Kitty, Tori Sparks and Chief Greenbud. I want to thank
the performers and everyone who attended. I would also
like to thank Kenny and the staff at The Limelight.
THEY ROCK!!! Most importantly, I would like to thank
Susan Greene for helping organize the benefit. Her
help was invaluable!

MusiCares and The Opry Trust Fund have both helped me with some bills during this time.
I would ask you to donate to them if you can. They
help those of us in the music industry who need it.
