Danielle Bloom – Meet Me In The Middle

by Chuck Dauphin

DANIELLE-BLOOM-MEETDanielle Bloom is an in-your-face rock star. You can tell this by looking at her. She sizzles with a swagger that could stop traffic on the Brickyard 500. She radiates confidence. But, so many times you see an act that catches your eye, and they don’t do the same for your ears. Trust me, Danielle Bloom’s vocal talent runs as deep as any other part of her. Though Hard Rock music doesn’t get the attention that Pop or Dance do these days, she could very well be the one to bring attention back to the art form.

She hits the ground running on the opening “Tell Me Why,” which brings to mind some of the passion and power of a Heart classic, but she’s her own musical artist. There’s no doubting that. On “You,” she delivers a power vocal that will leave you breathless and totally captivated. Then, there’s the title cut, which raises the pulse and imagination both from a musical and lyrical level. It’s raw, sexually charged, and not for the faint of heart.

But, what is most impressive about this Rock & Roll angel is that she can deliver a very different side, and does so so eloquently on this disc’s breakout track, the stunningly beautiful “Another Night.” It’s a chance for Bloom to show her soulful side on a ballad, and to say she delivers is putting it mildly. It’s an incredible performance, and one that should put her name in front of a lot of people.

Needless to say, I am very impressed with what Ms. Bloom has put together here. This is Rock and Roll, my friends, and she looks and plays the part well!
