Dan Harr – Publisher / Owner / Photographer / Writer

Dan started Music News Nashville in 2005 as a means to communicate his performance schedule and those of his friends.  As the newsletter grew, Dan converted it into a full-blown website with information on the Music Industry in and out of Nashville.  Along with being the Publisher and Owner of MNN, Dan is an accomplished guitarist and singer/songwriter, having performed with some A-list musicians and artists over the years.  But his creativity doesn’t stop there.  Dan is also a professional photographer, covering concerts and events not only for MNN but for a national wire service, having publishing credits in major U.S. and International magazines and newspapers.

Jaimie Ward – Editor

Calling the Detroit, MI area home, you have to enjoy music. Jaimie grew up playing several instruments in bands up through her freshman year of college. Giving up the instruments for the writer’s pen, she set her major to Journalism with a minor in photography. Still not feeling complete, she changed her course again to something more creatively challenging and earned her degree in Graphic Design and Web Design and started her own business, JW Digital Studios. Utilizing her skills in graphic & web design and photography, she is able to supply complete marketing solutions for every kind of client, but focusing mainly on the music industry, where her original love began. As a voting member of the Detroit Music Foundation, Jaimie currently manages several clients within Michigan and Nashville as well as helping to maintain Music News Nashville.

Kyra Hellam – Editor

Since Garth Brooks stepped on the stage in 1989, Kyra knew that country music is where her heart is. Having grown up in a family where everyone played music, it was mainly the piano and guitar that were her regular “escape” from the stressors of daily life. Luckily, being located “across the pond” from Detroit, Michigan, the exposure to loads of extremely local talented country music entertainers is seemingly endless. Always laughing about “using her mortgage career to support her country music habit”, she’s focused on networking, connecting the right people within the music business, and helping local artists expand their fan bases and get their name out there through virtual marketing. Her combined English and Journalism degree has found its usefulness in writing artists’ bio’s, doing reviews, and press releases, as well as ghost writing lyrics for a few local artists. Most recently, Kyra was hired by Country 959 FM for “promotions and events” in Southeastern Michigan, a position tailor-made for her! Who knows, her next gig could be as a merchandise gal for an artist on tour. “That would be the perfect job” she says.” “I know how much I STILL love getting that CD or t-shirt and having it signed by an artist after the show!” Keep an eye out, who knows…
