Cassadee Pope’s debut album, Frame by Frame, will be in stores this coming Tuesday and she says when she started to work on the project she had one criteria for herself. “I decided that I’m gonna be an open book and just all the songs that I write, they’re gonna come from a really special place, and all the songs that I take from outside writers have to be something that I’ve gone through or that I really love and I wish I wrote… so it’s all close to the heart, but I feel like I’d be gypping everyone if I didn’t share my deepest, darkest secrets with everybody.” She knew if she didn’t take that approach she’d regret it.
Cassadee chose to name the album Frame by Frame because she says, “Every song is so vivid. It paints such a picture, and you’re flipping through, and you’re listening, and you’re listening to the lyrics, and it tells such a crazy story… they’re moments captured in time, and it does tell such an intricate story, so I felt like each song was like in a little frame like a picture.”
Frame by Frame is available as a standard version with eleven songs, or a deluxe version with two bonus songs.
