The countdown is on for Cappo’s Christmas Party, the annual holiday concert presented by Garry “Cappo” Fedele and many of his talented musician-friends to benefit the Nashville Humane Association. For more than 12 years, Cappo has donated his time and energy to raise awareness and to collect much-needed items for the Nashville Humane Association. This year’s benefit will be held, for the fifth year in a row, at one of Nashville’s premiere clubs: Douglas Corner Café, located at 2106-A 8th Avenue South. The event will be on Saturday, December 3, 2011, starting at 8 p.m.
Cappo (pronounced COP-oh)—a Nashville-based producer, songwriter, musician, promoter, and creative consultant—hosts and performs at his Christmas Party Concert each year, before turning the stage over to many of his friends, who perform and entertain for an audience of animal-lovers and Nashville Humane Association supporters. Among the many featured singer/songwriters and bands performing this year will be Kelly Ann Monahan, David Newbould, Sutton Parks, Rob Everest, Debra Gordon, Frank Michels, Tim Shean, Sandy Garwood, Terrell Winfrey, Adlai Waxman, Tracey K. Houston, Dave Carew, Mark McMasters, Travis Henson, Perry Danos, Richard Moore, Jason Minton, Johnna Day, Jack Shannon, Andrew Henderson, Shantell Ogden, Jim Callahan, Chakra Bleu, Ryan Hayden, and Marko Corradetti.
Cappo’s Christmas Party has always been billed as a “free” event, but attendees are urged to provide a voluntary “entrance fee” in the form of cat or dog food, dog or cat bowls, cat litter, collars and leashes, toys, and other items needed by for the Nashville Humane Association.
Last year’s event brought in 150 pounds of dry dog food, 36 pounds of dry cat food, plus countless cans of pet food, treats, leashes, toys, and collars, along with financial contributions.
Cappo personally invites anyone who loves good music, and who is devoted to the caring treatment of displaced animals, to come out and join his friends on December 3rd.
